Every bump and dip on the road puts stress on your trailer. This 4-leaf double-eye spring flexes under load to absorb that shock, keeping the trailer steady and the ride smoother. It helps reduce wear and tear on the frame and cargo so everything tracks clean even over uneven pavement or gravel.
A level ride keeps handling predictable. Each spring has a 1,750-lb capacity, making it ideal for use in pairs on a 3,500-lb axle setup. The design keeps weight distributed evenly through the suspension so your trailer stays level and stable under load.
Getting the correct fit matters when replacing worn springs. This one measures 25-1/4"" long by 1-3/4"" wide with 9/16"" eye diameters, giving you the right geometry for standard double-eye hangers or kits (sold separately). The size ensures proper alignment so the suspension can move freely without binding.
No one likes squeaks or grinding when towing. Factory-installed nylon bushings in each eye let the spring pivot smoothly on its hangers while cutting down friction and metal wear. That means less noise, fewer parts wearing out, and a suspension that keeps working quietly trip after trip.
Leaf springs are a major part of your trailer’s foundation. EMCO builds this spring from quality spring steel that holds its shape under repeated flexing. It’s made to stand up to miles of towing while maintaining its arc and strength, keeping your trailer running straight and true.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for your 3,500-pound trailer axle. Now this double-eye leaf spring acts as part of your trailer suspension system by providing an attachment point for a 3,500-pound axle. This is made from sturdy steel and it's designed to flex to absorb road shock and give you a smooth ride, reducing wear and tear on your trailer, and it's going to ensure a level ride on bumpy and uneven surfaces. Now, as you probably know, double-eye leaf springs attach to hangers that are welded onto your trailer.
One end of the spring will attach directly to the hanger with the suspension bolt, the other end will attach the shackle straps that are suspended from a hanger, and these straps are going to allow the spring to move and pivot so that it can better compensate for uneven pavement. Now if you have a tandem or a triple-axle trailer, the shackle straps will be attached to the equalizer that connects multiple springs. But if you're in need of hangers, suspension bolts, or equalizers, you can find them all right here at etrailer.com. Now, in the eyes of each end here are pre-installed nylon bushings. The eye diameter with the bushing is 9/16 of an inch.
And again, this is a four-leaf spring, as you can see here. The spring individually has a capacity of 1,750 pounds, and then when you combine it with another spring of a similar capacity, that's where you're gonna get your 3,500-pound capacity for your 3,500-pound trailer axle. Let me go ahead and put a tape measure up and try to center, I'm trying to measure on center, the width between, or the length between the eyes there. So on center, as I hope you can see, we're sitting right at 24, I'm sorry, 25 1/4-inches long. Hopefully you can see that.
I know it's kind of an odd angle there. So again, 25 1/4 inches center to center. And the spring width is gonna be 1 3/4 inches. And we do have additional dimensions with the diagram listed on the lower part of this product page. So if there's any other information that you're looking for that I did not cover with you during our time together, don't hesitate to take a look at those additional measurements on this product page.
And of course, as you probably know, to ensure proper axle alignment and suspension performance, these springs should be always replaced in pairs, and typically we do recommend installation by a professional. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We do want to make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
